Appalachian Bancshares Annual Reports, Written by Marsh Communications, Win 2006 & 2007 Julian Awards

ATLANTA, Aug. 3, 2007 - The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) awarded Appalachian Bancshares' 2005 annual report the Certificate of Excellence in its recent Julian Awards for Community Bank Marketing Effectiveness.

The award marks the second consecutive year Appalachian Bancshares has won one of the top two Julian Awards for its annual reports. The CBA named Appalachian Bancshares' 2004 annual report the Best of the Best in last year's Julian Awards.

MarshComm wrote both award-winning annual reports (and wrote Appalachian Bancshares' 2006 annual report as well).

The Julian Awards for Community Bank Marketing Effectiveness is the premier marketing competition for Georgia 's community banking industry. The competition recognizes marketing innovation, creative excellence and successful implementation of a marketing initiative among Georgia 's community banks.
